This hotel was an excellent place to stay for a partly business trip, partly vacation in Hawaii! I got to see different parts of the city than I would have if I just stayed on Waikiki. The person truly responisble for the perfect review is Ephrem at the front desk. Over the course of 10 days, he helped me and my husband with everything from losing our room keys to help finding a place to eat. Thank you so much, Ephrem, you are the best!

Really appreciated the friendly and professional staff, the well-apportioned rooms, a fitness center that wasn’t frozen (hate that!) and the convenient location for work at the capital. This is my new fav place to stay in Honolulu.

Such a gem! Located in a more downtown district away from the Waikiki noise, this was a great experince for my adult daughter and I holidaying in Waikiki to explore other parts around the area. Great local restaurants around and the food at the hotel was also amazing! Has a beautiful courtyard, the staff were absolutely fantastic (above and beyond) to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms were new and modern. Great price for what you are getting! Highly recommend!

I travel a lot, this hotel is easily the best in the country. I was in Honolulu for a concert and didn’t have to wake up early, I slept until noon because the room was the quietest I’ve ever experienced, dark when I wanted it dark. Traffic outside the hotel and couldn’t hear a peep. The staff is amazing and the guys at the valet were exceptional. I wish all hotels were this good. I’ll stay there every time I go to Honolulu from now on. Love you guys🤙🏻

FINAL SCORE!!!5/5⭐ It's 3FEB26 and I'm back in a cold and snowy North Carolina already missing Hawaii. To get to the nitty gritty, they truly treated me like family, ohana❤️‍🔥 . The building and room itself beautiful, clean and functional. All the staff, ready to help at all times. Anything you can't get there you can get at the 24-hour 7-Eleven a block away. There really are a million places to eat in the vicinity Monday through Friday business hours. Outside of those hours it goes down to about a thousand. Plenty to do, even just to look at, within walking distance. Amazing architecture, unbelievable tree action everywhere, birds, including chickens and roosters, beautiful foliage and flowers. (This is also an urban area, so if you have difficulty seeing those who do not have it as easy as the rest of us, and prefer to ignore this fact on your vacation, there are plenty other places in Hawaii for you.)  I also have to say-I keep looking for charges I didn't expect or crazy mysterious bills coming in later....... I'm actually thinking they didn't charge me for things that I was supposed to get charged for and I don't even want to bring it up 🤣🤣🤣 ****Pre-check-in vibe check 5/5⭐ We won't actually check in until wed night but we were supposed to be checking in tonight-local airport and TSA issues changed our plans. Thru American Forces Travel, our stay here is package to see our daughter for the first time in her new home AND Hawaii-to boot. Anyway-stressful day of rescheduling and AC Hotel worked with AFT so I didn't lose my booking. THANKS! Plus, after reading all the reviews at their own site and here-along with their thorough responses, I feel so much better! and I can't wait to get there. Update actual review in 2 weeks🤣

The staff at this hotel is truly exceptional. My first positive impression came from meeting Ephran at the front desk. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates, and unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. Despite this, Ephran welcomed me to stay in the lobby for as long as I needed so I could charge my phone and relax after a long day, while he did everything within his control to help me find a solution. While I was taking a break, I watched Ephran treat every guest with the same kindness, patience, and professionalism he showed me. He genuinely went above and beyond, and I was incredibly grateful for how safe and supported I felt in a stressful moment. The staff at the Yours Truly restaurant were also wonderful. Cliff and Dana took great care of me, listened to my situation, and thoughtfully suggested alternatives. They even worked with Ephran to try to help however they could. Lastly, Anthony and Jose, the bellhops, checked in on me and made sure I was okay, which meant more than they probably realized. I've never been treated so well at a hotel I didn't even end up staying at. This level of compassion and care is rare, and it left a lasting impression.

We had a great stay at the AC Hotel Honolulu. We needed a room last minute and were so grateful they had availability the same day — the whole experience ended up being seamless and comfortable. All of the hotel staff were amazing and truly made us feel at home during our stay. We were there for six nights, and everyone we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and helpful. Jose at the front desk was especially kind and attentive, and the valet staff were fantastic as well. One of the valet attendants even took the time to make us a list of local food recommendations, and we really appreciated all of the thoughtful suggestions from staff whenever we asked. The hotel gym was excellent — clean, well-equipped, and one of the better hotel gyms we’ve seen. We also loved having Common Ground coffee right next door, which made mornings easy and enjoyable. Our only suggestion would be adding dehumidifiers in the rooms, as well as microwaves for added convenience. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would absolutely return.

I love staying at this hotel. I come here a couple of times a year for work, and the location in downtown Honolulu is perfect. It’s literally a stone’s throw from places like Daiso, convenience stores, and plenty of quick spots to grab a bite, along with some really good restaurants nearby. Everything is very walkable. What I appreciate most is that it’s away from Waikiki and all the heavy tourist traffic. If you prefer a more local, business-focused environment and want to avoid the crowds, this is a great spot. It feels more like living and working in the city rather than being in a tourist zone. The staff has also been incredibly courteous. The service is awesome from the valet team to the front desk. A special shoutout to Nalu at the front desk for being especially kind and providing service that went far beyond what’s required. That kind of hospitality really stands out. You won’t get the typical beach vibes or resort-style amenities like a big pool, but if you’re in town for work, meeting clients in the downtown area, or just want a quieter and more practical place to stay, the location really can’t be beat.
